This blog has been somewhat stagnant for the past year. I have, however, continued to add to my knowledge base. I also have some unlisted pages on the site, like lists. I have a few blog posts on a different, anonymous blog. Writing is still enjoyable for me, but I’ve found that I no longer feel a strong need to seek out a public audience for my words.
This year I’ve read 28 books, which is the most I’ve read in a single year. 2016 is the second highest, at 22 books. Lately I’ve been leaning more towards standalone novels. I’m wary of starting multi-book stories, especially ones that aren’t yet finished.
I’m still dabbling in a variety of different hobbies. I won’t name my current muse, but it’s craft related. I’m toying with the idea of opening a small online store to sell what I make, but it’s a bit of a far off goal at the moment. My intention is to bring joy into people’s lives, and creating things is one of my approaches to that end.
My social circle remains small. However, I’ve been attending a number of geocaching events and am starting to make some friends in that space. It’s nice to have more friends outside of work with whom I can be less guarded around.
There’s more I’d like to say about 2025, but I think I’ll do so in a later post instead.
